I'm getting old!

Well, I've yet to find a gray hair but all other signs are pointing to the fact that I'm officially becoming old. I'm thinking about buying a house. Hardcori sent me a book all about house buying and mortgages and the fascinating world of real estate. I think the fact that I used the words fascinating and mortgages in the same sentence is enough proof. Plus I knit alot and when I went to my coworker's 20th birthday party tonight and kept thinking about the real estate book and knitting and my boyfriend and my cats... that made me feel really old. So I came home and took a vicotin and am now watching 'queer as folk' (best gay porn show ever!). I know how to party!

Eeewww!!!

So the other night I watched 'The House of Wax' (the new one) and tonight I watched 'Hostel' by the same director as 'Cabin Fever'. Let me just say, GROSS! Each movie had it's own special disgustingness, but they both had a scene where someone's digit was clipped off by something that reminded me of the shears we used at the flower shop. Sick! I do have to give props to movies like this though, because maybe they realize that they're not going to scare me, so instead they go for utmost gore factor, and I appreciate that. 'Cabin Fever' is still better than 'Hostel' and the original 'House of Wax' is better than the new one, but at least the new ones are gross...

I'm still a knitting purist, I swear...

So, I taught myself how to crochet tonight while watching dodgeball (F-ing funny by the way if you haven't seen it. David Hasselhoff and Chuck Norris! What could be better!) and although I think I'm still on the side of the knitting purist, crocheting is pretty darn fun, and fast! To be totally honest with everyone, I taught myself to crochet in order to put off making socks, which I'm kind of frightened of and starting a sweaterr, which I'm entirely frightened of. As far as filler goes though, A+ to the chain stitch!

Cats + Knitting = Funny!

Did anyone look at the YKW? for today?! Screw kintting a bikini for myself! I feel bad kind of that I always put pictures of Cholumlee with my knitting and not Vinnie, but Chollums is just so passive about it. He does look kind of pissed here though with a baby bootie on his head.

Keyhole!

Finally the damn thing's done! Not too exciting, but not too shabby.

Here's the keyhole part you tuck it into. Spiffy.

Ta Da!

It took me forever to figure out how to get a close up of my ring without it being all blurry. I gave up on trying to hold my fingers so they didn't look wierd. Maybe I'll never be a famous hand model. Oh well. I'm getting married! To an amazing boy! Ha! How f-ing wierd!

scarves are too long

Once again, I'm posting without a picture. In part because Luke is asleep in the room where the camera is and also because i still haven't finished my damn keyhole scarf. I've decided not to do another scarf for a while after this one cause they're too damn long. It's looking good though. I have tomorrow off and a movie to watch if the weather's bad, so it may be done then. or maybe I'll start something else on the side...

just thought i'd post a bit even though i don't have any new exciting craft pictures to add on. luke and i went to the coast with his parents and had a wonderful time of card games, beach walks and too much booze. i did a bit of knitting but haven't finished the keyhole scarf i'm working on. i wish all the blog people lived near each other so we could all hang out and inspire each other and annoy each other and just plain be around each other more often. too many people in my friend circle here are doing way too many drugs right now and i'm over it. even though i don't hang out that much, it's still depressing. i like being addicted to knitting. it's much cheaper and doesn't make you into a sneaky creepshow. okay, i've ranted, sorry for the minimal punctuation and the copious run on sentences. do crafts, not lines! maybe i'll make a t-shirt.
