Bittersweet

I got a new computer today. It's crazy fast and much more fancy than my little Powerbook G4. I have to say though, I'm kind of sad about letting the old one go. It was so good to me until it got all bogged down and slow. The straw that broke poor G4's back was when it couldn't upgrade it's flash player to allow online Scrabble playing. Goodbye old friend. Thanks for all the good times.

A Very Twin Peaks Halloween!

Halloween was an awesome good time this year! Twin Peaks galore!

The whole crew:

Kris Clouse was born for this role.

Whispers of who killed her...

What's up doc?

What happens when you slam your head into a mirror...

As I post this, I'm listening to the tape I made for Dianne detailing the night. Wow.
I don't know how I've gone this long without a handheld tape recorder.

I <3 twitter for the incredible ease with which it can be used. Internet pals, it's worth a try, sign up now if you haven't already. Also, Leonard Nemoy (sp?) is in the episode of Columbo that I am watching now. What a good roll for him!

The future

I have just joined twitter, as suggested by anatomist, which seems fun. It gives me the feeling that I am embarking on the 'future' world where we don't have to do anything but look at a computer to know everything that is going on in everyone's life. In a way, terrifying but also very suited to my love of voyerism and spying. I'm considering making a facebook page although that one seems less geared towards stalking than myspace (myspying, if you will) which is too bad. Oh future, how you endlessly amaze me.

June 25th! Are you fucking kidding me!

I can't believe it's been that long. I mean, I knew it had been a while, but seriously, that's crazy talk! Well, I guess I don't have to say it's been a crazy busy summer, you probably figured as much. My job has been wacky and just when it's supposed to slow down, we have an elephant baby. It's a good thing he's so cute... I think they're still taking votes for his name on the oregon zoo website if anyone's really bored. I got to meet him the other day when I brought the keepers food and he snotted on my short-pants. One of the few major perks to my job.
I have a bitchin' cold right now (mere weeks after my semi anual strep throat, thanks very much 'god of health') and am trying to pull together a very last minute final trailer trip that shall start with hardcori's wedding. Although I have been a very absent internet friend, please cross your internet fingers that I can get my truck into and out of the shop in time for this whole shebang to work out. I'd like to say that someday I won't leave everything to the last minute, but I know that's not ever going to be the case and I guess it wouldn't be as exciting if it was, right?

Hells Yeah!

Hello all! It's your long lost friend who does nothing but work all the time! Well, that's not entirely true. I have done much rocking out and a wee bit of sleeping. Sasquatch! was amazing. Three nights in tent-city with so much booze, so many good bands and a lot of Canadians. The Cure played for over three hours - everything you could hope to hear except 'Love Cats' pretty much. Flight of the Concords were adorable - they wore complimentary tuxedo shirts (one white, one black). Sadly I didn't make out with either of them, but maybe someday. As for the rest, there's too many to count and they were all good (except for the awful awfulness of the Mars Volta - worst live band ever!). I blacked out apparently sometime during Modest Mouse and into REM, so that was a good night. The beers inside the show were $11 man cans therefore it was very fortunate that we brought cases and cases of our own beer to drink before hand (hence the blacking out). All in all, one of the best times ever. Raven has bunch of great pictures of us doing such exciting things as 'posing as our spirit animals' on her myspace page. I suggest you check them out if you're bored. I, being the lame ass that I am, took no pictures except for the one on my phone of Raven holding many $11 beers. Anyhoo, sorry I've been so absent, oh internet pals. I just finished another 9 day work week and now I'm going to do some more rocking out. XOXO!

Born to Run, I Am

Once again, the neglecting of the blog. It will only get worse as summer hits, I'm sure, so color me unreliable. Many things have happened in the last bit; all of which I am frankly too tired to mull over and write about. This is the first night in a while that I have come home straight from work, with no real plans and nothing to do but a touch of laundry and some jeopardy watching. It's sad that that's exciting and even more sad that nights like this will be all I have to look forward to once I start my new all-early-all-the-time work thing. 7...7:30 at the latest. There should be laws against such hours of the morning. I will write more later, just wanted to check in internet pals.
Oh, and let's all give a big internet high five to KFR! F yes my friend!
