New Tattoo!

Yay! After almost five years, I finally got a new tattoo! I think it turned out beautifully! Sage did it and made the guy into a girl (very impressive). Go girl power!

And here she is going towards the twin peaks!

frogging.

Well, once again, somehow I've managed to get the gague off a little on a project. I think I can fix it though. Here's Luke wearing the earflap hat I made.

I would have put a picture of me wearing it but it looked even wierder on me, The earflaps were down almost to my chin. Crap! Also, much to my dismay, I could not figure out how to make a thing called and I-cord (an idiot-cord, oh the irony!) and the ties came out all twisted and bouncy. Good god! But I have faith in this hat. I have frogged the one seen in the picture and am beginning anew with a few altercations to the pattern. Cross your fingers!

Derelicte!

Inspired by Hardcori's plastic bag-bag making, here's my very own derelicte tote bag! It was super fun to make and turned out quite nicely I think. For my next one I think I'll organize the bags so that it makes stripes in just gray and white. So homeless-chic!

Twins!

Well, you can't call me a quitter I suppose. There are now two legwarmers and two normal sized mittens. I'm pretty happy with the mittens, although I might adjust the thumbs cause they're kind of long. The legwarmers on the other hand (or leg, ha!) are falling to my ankles as I write. Knit and learn. That's my philosophy.

What the hail?

Portland weather has no idea what it's doing lately. It's snowed for the last two nights, rained some and just a minute ago, there was a crazy hail storm. Make up your mind Ptown. Jeez. If you look closely at this picture of Norma, you might be able to see the rainbowy little hail stones? balls? spheres? I don't know. I'm no meteorologist.

Success!

All right comrades! I have succeeded in making a normal sized mitten.I used an elasticy yarn that was nice to work with and should be great for hardcori's bikini. Here's me wearing the mitten...

Another perspective shot with Chollums...

And finally a side by side with the biggest mitten ever...

While making the thumb, I realized that working in the round on double pointed needles reminds me of open heart sugery. Just something to ponder...

this just in

did anyone know that it's national craft month! at least that's what joanns' website says. wow, how should we celebrate? possibly by crafting a lot. oh wait...

multi tasking

i just put the finishing touches on my coworker Candice's snake scarf in the lovely orange she picked out...

before finishing the scarf, i started a hopefully regular sized mitten and plan to start my second legwarmer in a minute. maybe instead of craft a.d.d. i'll call it extreme multi tasking.

hmm... dunno. let me know, should i make another one? it's not awfull, but will i ever wear them if there were two?

Blue Jean

Hardcori and my trip to Eugene was quite a success! Thanks to all that helped this trip to rock. Cori for driving my ass around, Sierra, Chris and Becky for giving us some quality conversation, and Andie for hosting the friendly get together! I had a lot of fun and hope no one felt alienated by the copious knitting.Of course I can't resist giving y'all a glimpse of who I got to hang out with in the down time..

Hardcori's in town!

So hardcori managed to knit an entire legwarmer in the last little while and I have had craft A.D.D. I have at least gotten a little bit done on several different projects. A lot of unraveling was involved. My legwarmers have been started and I was shown how to add links to all the bitchin'est bloggers on the block! We may try to puffy paint the phil collins t-shirts I've been meaning to make for years, but who knows. There's been a lot of buffy watching and some popcorn eating, so I may get distracted again.
