Trip #4

Alright, I do realize that I've been back from my trip for like a month now, so let's have the final instalment of my pictures already. I should add the disclaimer that, as the trip wore on and we spent every night climbing into an elevator that opened directly onto this dance floor

After our usual 3 Voka Red Bulls and 3 Coors Lights given to us by this man (Godwin from the Phillippines, who surprisingly has the biohazard symbol tatooed on his leg)

We did quite a bit less sightseeing than we might have done without these distractions. Our routine became: 11am ish get up, get off boat for a while (except for that one day at Corfu that I was in bed until 5), 4pm-6pm disco nap, 7pm trivia/red bull vodkas at the piano bar, 11pm dance club, 5am pool/hottub party with dancing friends 7am ish bed. Or some variation of that schedule.
One place we did go was Katakolon. Here's a lovely courtyard style café we ate at

People in Katakolon loved weaves attatched to hats (or at least the tourists did, I saw at least two people on the boat with them on

Some Katakolon kats! The town was a bit poor, but very cute. There was also a strong and (to us) unexplained military presence there. Had we had more time and been less hungover, we might have seen Olympus or something exciting like that.

Our final boat stop was Split, Croatia. This was one of the cleanest cities I've ever been too. It was beautiful. The people didn't seem very stoked about tourism, but who can blame them. It was fun to go to a country where some of our new dancing friends lived.

We enjoyed more delicious coffee and then, sadly, got back on the boat for the final time

As always, I could say so much more about all the awesome parts of this trip but I won't. Thank you all for allowing me to recap as extensively as I have. Next time, I will have some exciting knitting or my-own-cats pictures for you to enjoy. Yay!

Trip #3

Hello all! And now for part one of my trip, on the boat! We left off with Jen and I being haggard in fabulous Venice! Venice had much shopping and good food. We were only there for a short time, but were able to wander around and become quite fond of the city.
After shopping and being thoroughly disgusted with the people allowing dozens of pidgeons to land on them, we met up with our tour group and boarded the boat. It was huge and crazy. Here is our room in a state of relative cleanliness...

Me on my rocking twin bed, getting pumped up for a night of engagement ring throwing (it's now somewhere in the water between Venice and Mykonos)...

And extreme dancing with these people! We made many dancing friends on the boat. Shown here are Branka (Croatia), Domonique (NY) and Ricardo (Mexico).

Jarred (NY) my special boat friend. Somehow I don't have a picture of Jen's special friend Adam (Mexico) the bartender.

Sasa (Croatia) and Alberto (Columbia) and the huge bucket of beer that Adam would bring us because he called 'last call'.

The boat was like Vegas on the briney deep. I'm not sure if I should elaborate on the internet.
Anyways, sometimes we got off the boat in exotic places like Mykonos, Greece! Here we are enjoying delicious coffee.

One of the many cats of Greece.

Mykonos, we discovered, is a huge party town. Sadly we were getting back on the boat when all of the young partiers were coming into town, but there was evidence of the wild nature of the city all over. For instance, the 'Ramrod' nightclub pictured here. Hmm...

That's all for now!

Trip #2

Alright, I'm back now with more amazing photos of my trip, on land!
Here's Carole and Don, Jen's awesome parents, enjoying the boat ride across Lake Como

Jen and I battling some major stair action in Belagio (notice I'm smoking, how hardcore am I!)

Jen and I enjoying some pretend huge ice cream. This was actually a trash can, they were everywhere, in Italy and Greece.

All of us at the fountain in front of the way old villa.

And then the demon beer...This high octane crazy ass beer fueled the night that had Jen and I cruising the streets of Lake Como with the bartender from the hotel and his friend. Eventually, this night, both of us would make out with different people in the same conference room at the hotel at different times. We then had breakfast, delicious coffee, a half hour nap and arrived, very haggard in...

Beautiful Milan. Everyone there was very well dressed and walked quickly, not helpful when you feel like you're dying.

Later that day we arrived in Venice where we had a small and wierd hotel room. I met with Jay Standard (of whom, in my haggard state, I took no pictures)

The next day we were well rested enough to give multiple thumbs up on a bridge over the canal. Shortly after we boarded the boat.

Soon, hopefully after I steal Jen's photos, I will have part 3 for you...
