The Boss

As some of you may know, I have recently become obsessed with The Boss. In the past, Hardocri has been kind enough to say I instead have "strong interests" but I know she's just being polite and trying to make me seem less crazy. So, my "strong interest" of late is Bruce Springsteen, in particular the 'Born to Run' and 'Born in the USA' era Bruce Springsteen. To admit how many times in the last two months I have listened to these two albums would be slightly embarassing, not to mention the fact that, aside from a few random moments of radio, I have indeed ONLY listened to these two albums in the last two months.
Now that you have an idea of the extent of my interest in The Boss, let me impart a few of the reasons for my adoration:
1) Born to Run - my new theme song - has the line "wrap your legs 'round these velvet rims and strap your hands 'cross my engines"
2) Thunder Road - can be taken as an inspirational song about freedom and adventure OR as a plee for a blowjob (your choice)
3) Downbound Train - makes me cry even though towards the end The Boss is apparently speaking another language that only he can understand
4) My inability to EVER get Darlington County out of my head once it's there
5) The fact that almost all of his songs are constructed like run-on sentences
6) The number of times The Boss says 'baby' and 'darlin' in all of his songs - very hot
Now I think I will go clean my house and listen to The Boss at an inappropriate volume.

Goddamn!

Somehow the entire month of July went by without a single post from me! What a douche bag I am! In my defense, work is insane (I'm at the end of another 7 day week right now) and a lot of other crap has been keeping me busy enough I haven't even mowed my lawn this month. Anyways, in the time since I last posted, ThreadandScissors got married (beautiful, thanks for the gracious invite!), as did Anatomist (Norma has never seen that much action as long as I've had her!), I got a $1.35 raise (cause I rule!), and I read the final Harry Potter (I only cried twice I swear...). Here's a picture of Hardcori and myself (well our hands, really) finger puppet wrestling while waiting in what we thought was a line at the bookstore near Deception Pass for our books at midnight (we are way cool)...
